The 8th Food Expo
China Food Expo (hereinafter referred to as food expo) is one of the professional expositions in food industry, and it is highly proposed by Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China. It has been staged 7 sessions, becoming one of the largest in scale, highest in level and the most popular expositions of China's food industry. Food Expo plays important roles in showcasing the latest achievements and brand image of food and related industries in China, in strengthening the technical exchanges and trade cooperation of food enterprises domestic and abroad and in pushing forward the healthy development of food consumption and circulation.
The 7th Food Expo covered an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters with 3,020 international standard booths. 2,048 enterprises from 20 countries and regions, and 37 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities (including municipalities with independent planning status) participated in the fair. Total visitor's person-time volume reached 285,000 with more than 10,000 professional purchasers. The total trade volume reached RMB 10.65 billion.
The 8th Food Expo will be held during October 26 to 29, 2012 in Chengdu. This year's fair covers an exhibition area of 80,000 square meters, including 8 display sectors: International Food Sector, Comprehensive Food Sector, Sichuan Fancy Food Sector, Wine and Beverage Sector, Meat Sector, Condiment and Food Raw Material Sector, Tea Sector and Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Sector, showcasing the latest achievements and brand image of excellent food domestic and abroad, green food, fancy food and related industries. This year's fair will highlight professionalization, industrialization, diversification and internationalization, pushing forward the effective join of the industry at each level, promoting international exchange and trade cooperation.
